A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period. Unlike your medical team, a doula does not perform clinical tasks — she focuses entirely on your wellbeing, your comfort, and your experience.

Not at all. Cortney works alongside your medical team — she does not provide medical care, make clinical decisions, or interfere with your provider's role. Think of her as the bridge between you and your medical care: someone who helps you understand your options, communicate your wishes, and feel genuinely supported at every step.

Most families find it helpful to connect with a doula between 12 and 30 weeks of pregnancy — the earlier, the more prenatal support and connection you'll build together. That said, support may still be available later in pregnancy depending on availability. Reach out and let's talk.

Yes. Cortney supports families birthing in hospitals, birth centers, and at home. Wherever you choose to welcome your baby, she will be there with you.

Cortney supports all birth choices — including epidurals, cesarean births, inductions, and everything in between. There is no judgment here. Her role is to support your birth, however it unfolds.
